SPEC Industries is a leader in the technology selection process for wastewater collection, recovery, treatment, disposal and sludge management options.

SPEC’s approach is to address the four technical components of a wastewater system: wastewater collection, wastewater recovery/treatment, effluent disposal and sludge management. Financial, engineering, social, institutional and environmental issues are evaluated, for each of these components, and compared to the needs of the client and the requirements of the technologies. This approach leads to the most appropriate solution.

Wastewater Recovery
Treatment & Disposal

Technology and research has led to many innovative solutions for effective, efficient wastewater recovery/treatment and disposal.

Appropriate recovery/treatment and disposal of domestic or industrial wastewater requires the evaluation of the local regulations on quality requirements along with the capacity of the receiving media – soil, ground or surface water.

SPEC would possibly use the AIRR technology for the domestic wastewater recovery/treatment.

The AIRR technology has proven, since 1977, to provide a clear water discharge that is 4 to 10 times better than US-EPA recreational water standards.

AIRR facilities are designed to use local labor and materials meeting approved specifications. The AIRR facilities have competitive construction costs and very low operation and maintenance costs which make the facilities very desirable locally and internationally.

SPEC needs to evaluate the current collection and treatment industrial system to develop the best solution to meet the regulatory mandates/ requirements for discharge with a quality and cost effective system.

SPEC Training Center provides training for national and international clients. Manuals are in either U.S. or Metric Mensuration. The training is oriented toward the specific needs of the clients, such as collection systems, AIRR Wastewater Recovery Technology, other technologies, Operation and Maintenance of facilities, discharge or disposal of the clear water discharge by irrigation, river or water discharge or subsurface (underground) or re-use.
